About Me

Writing was my passion as a girl.  Growing up as an only child in a village meant my imaginary friends were as important to me as my real friends.  A few decades of working mum busy-ness later (which squeezed my creative juices dry), I'm back writing stories which speak to women's experiences of this second half century of life and which entertain the next generation.

My first book, Home of the Soul, will be ready for sending out into the world in 2023.  Following an unexpected inheritance, its 50-something heroine Mariella rebuilds her life and sense of belonging following the very public breakdown of her marriage.

The Fly in the Family Tree series tells the story of Fedelma Lettice Yarn, a 12 year old girl living the most normal of lives until she discovers the power that lies in her less than normal name.  Each book sees her venture back in time, exploring history from the inside and learning lessons about herself en route.
